Describing the staff at Prestige Car Audio and Marine in New Orleans as fanatical would be a compliment. We obsess over the smallest of details for each and every client. From proper system planning, ordering parts and finally, the installation and tuning – no aspect of the task is overlooked. Our processes and dedication to doing things right are one of the reasons why clients come from more than 1000 miles away to receive installations at Prestige Car Audio & Marine.
Our Staff
Leading our team of elite installation technicians is one of only two MECP Master Certified installers in the state of Louisiana. Ongoing training ensures that our entire installation team is at the leading edge of industry-accepted procedures and practices. They regularly attend events like CES and MERA KnowledgeFest to learn about new products. Their fabrication training includes classes at Sonus Evolution and the Rockford Technical Training Institute. Having knowledge of the latest fabrication techniques means that we can create amazing installations in less time.
Our Methods
The age-old expression “The devil is in the details” doesn’t scare us. We take every possible precaution while we are in possession of a client’s vehicle to return it in better shape than it came to us. We tape off rocker panels and door edges when we work inside of a vehicle. Seat covers are placed over any of the seats we will have contact with. We use fender covers when working under the hood. We even use a battery maintainer to charge each and every client’s car battery while we work on their vehicles. When we are done, we vacuum the interior to ensure we’ve picked up every strand of wire.
Our Tools
When we are working on a vehicle’s electrical system, we solder all the connections we make. Soldering ensures that the connection is not only electrically sound and efficient but that it will be mechanically secure and reliable. No amount of tension or vibration will cause it to fail. We insulate each soldered connection with heat-shrink tubing for protection. We also use TESA Cloth tape with a fleece exterior to secure all our wiring. The fleece exterior ensures that the wiring will not buzz or rattle in the vehicle – that would detract from your enjoyment of a new audio system. TESA tape is used by automakers on their wiring harnesses for the same reason.
Our Products
While the work that we do is critically important to the quality of each audio, video, driver safety or remote start installation that we perform, the products we use are just as important. We have partnered with the best brands in the industry, based on both performance and reliability. Our staff regularly attends training sessions to understand new product features and how to maximize their performance.
