A referred client from here in Metairie, Louisiana, came in to ask about adding a Toyota Tacoma subwoofer system to his 2015 model truck. A friend of his told him we did great work, so he wanted to see what we had to offer. We talked about a few different options after looking at his truck. The client chose a JL Audio Stealthbox and amplifier.
The JL Audio Stealthbox enclosures are designed specifically for each application. In the case of the Tacoma, the SB-T-TACDC12/10Tw13 includes a single 10Tw3 shallow-mount subwoofer in a sealed fiberglass enclosure. The enclosure provides a small shelf on the right side to hold an amplifier.
The client chose a JL Audio XD600/1v2 amplifier for the system. This amp will provide up to 600 watts to the 2 ohm load presented by the sub. JL Audio includes a mesh grille for the sub and all the mounting hardware to ensure the enclosure is held securely in place.
After completing the wiring, we used our test equipment to set the sensitivity controls on the amplifier.
The client loves the way the enclosures look and sound.
