Complete Amplifier Family

The MX series includes five different models. There are two monoblock subwoofers amps, two four-channel amplifiers and a three-channel amp. The amps use one of two different cast-aluminum heat sinks to make it easy to design a system with multiple amplifiers. Each pair of channels on the four-channel amps can be bridged to increase their power output and create a high-power two-channel amp.

Weatherproof Design

All five amplifiers are based on cast-aluminum heat sink designs. Each chassis is finished in a dark-gray textured paint and features integrated cooling fins on the top edge. Mounting feet on ends of the amps makes it easy for us to secure them to your vehicle.

Unlike most compact amplifiers on the market, the MX series features an IPX6 or better water-resistance rating. Water intrusion protection on the wiring and a cover panel with a rubber gasket seals controls on the bottom against damage. The result is a series of amplifiers that can handle anything Mother Nature can conjure.

Feature-packed Performance

The MX300/1 and MX500/1 subwoofer amplifiers have a low-pass filter that is adjustable from 40 to 400 Hz. The crossover can be defeated to let the amps to play to 14 kHz. A bass boost circuit can provide up to 12 dB of boost, centered at 43 Hz. Finally, an infrasonic filter is adjustable from 20 to 40 Hz. An output polarity switch makes system tuning quick and easy. The same adjustments apply to the subwoofer channel of the MX600/3 three-channel amp.

The optional M-RBC-1 remote level control is compatible with the subwoofer amplifiers and the subwoofer channel of the MX600/3 to provide level control of the subwoofer output.

The MX280/4 and MX500/4 include crossover adjustable from 35 to 300 Hz for each panel of channels. The crossover can be run in high- or low-pass mode or defeated completely. The stereo channels of the MX600/3 are the same.

The multi-channel amps have two- and four-channel input selection switches to negate the need for Y cables. All the amps will handle preamp level signal inputs between 250 mV and 4 V. The differential input design of the amps allows them to be used with BTL source units and amplifiers without the need for an adapter. The input voltage in high-level input mode is 750 mV to 15 V.
